About ants in the Northern Territory
Australia has nearly 1300 known ant species. They’re omnipresent and they love warm climatic conditions. Some of the most common ant species that exist in the country include Bull Ants, Coastal Brown Ants, Garden Ants, Argentine Ants, Pavement Ants, Black House Ants, Ghost Ants and Pharaoh Ants. The list doesn’t end here, though. There are many other species that are found in homes and commercial places all over the country.
Once they invade your house or workplace, they look for sources of food. No matter how tiny the crumbs, they’ll cluster around these small food particles and invite many other ants to march through your premises. The Coastal Brown Ant is seen in large numbers in the Northern Territory. These ants love water. You’ll find them making their way to your kitchen sink, bathtub or kettle. You may also see them under your potted plants. There’s no point in killing them with a powder. You need to destroy their nest.
